We are extremely pleased to announce our new partnership with The Young Foundation, a research and action based charity with a strong track record in confronting social inequalities.

SHINE currently provides funding to some of the brightest minds in teaching in England, helping them to develop and deliver new approaches to teaching that raise educational attainment for children from low income homes. Our exciting new partnership with The Young Foundation now gives us the chance to offer these teachers free access to a broad range of development workshops and coaching opportunities – helping them to get the best out of their ideas.

The winners of our annual Let Teachers SHINE competition will be able to access coaching and strategic mentoring from experts in the sector, covering topics such as creating a business plan, managing finances, promoting their project, evaluating impact, and scaling up to reach more children. The Young Foundation has a wealth of experience in helping new and innovative educational projects to survive, be sustainable and grow, and they will be passing this knowledge on to our teachers.

Our coaching sessions will give them the opportunity to develop strong entrepreneurial and business skills and also share ideas and be motivated by other like-minded educators.
