SHINE is hiring for the position of Programme Manager (North Grants).
SHINE was first established in 1999 by a group of committed philanthropists who wanted to help improve education for the most disadvantaged children. Since then, SHINE has invested more than £27 million in programmes which have benefited almost a million children from 15,000 schools. Our vision is for all children to leave school with real choices in their future lives.
SHINE’s mission is to raise the attainment of children from disadvantaged backgrounds across the North of England. They do this by supporting innovations in education which have the potential to transform education outcomes for the most disadvantaged children.
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, the Programme Manager will play a key role in helping to develop and implement SHINE’s new strategy, building relationships across the North of England, and helping to ensure that SHINE’s activities deliver maximum impact within the context of a small central team.
We are looking for someone with strong project management experience and excellent IT skills, who is able to manage their own workload effectively and flexibly. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the barriers facing children from economically deprived backgrounds, and a strong commitment to the values and mission of SHINE.
