Donate by Cheque
If you want to make a donation by cheque, simply write a cheque for the amount you wish to give. Then download the gift aid declaration form at the bottom of this page, fill it in and return it with your cheque so that SHINE can reclaim the tax from the Inland Revenue. We will send you a copy of the gift aid form so that, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can declare the gift on your annual tax return and reclaim the balance.
For example: if you wish to give SHINE £1,000, write out a cheque for £1,000, complete the gift aid form and SHINE will be able to claim an additional £280. Higher rate tax payers can declare the gift on their annual tax return and reclaim the balance (18%).
Cheques should be made payable to SHINE and sent to: Chief Executive, SHINE, 1 Cheam Road, Ewell Village, Surrey KT17 1SP.

N.B. This method should only be used if you are a UK tax payer and pay income/capital gains tax at least equal to the amount of tax to be reclaimed.
