Innovation
SHINE is always looking out for projects that combine experience, enthusiasm and imagination to offer a genuinely new approach to old problems. Whether they are giving school-leavers a second chance or helping primary children get up to speed before starting secondary school, SHINE-funded projects have shown that a fresh direction and creative teaching methods can work wonders.
To achieve maximum effect, we're also happy to pool our resources wherever practical. Several programmes are co-funded with other organisations in order to address some of SHINE's key priorities on a bigger scale and at greater speed. Put simply, a partnership approach enables us to help many more children than we could possibly hope to achieve just by ourselves.
