Other Saturday Programmes
Done right, Saturday schools can transform even the most challenging students into enthusiastic learners, while also giving them valuable extra time to improve key skills.
Most of our home-grown Saturday programmes focus on primary children. However, the same principles remain true for older students. Consequently, we also fund weekend learning run by other organisations.
Most of these offer study support, structured learning and extra-curricular activities to students preparing for GCSEs – a crucial hurdle that can often determine a teenager's path in life. They work with students of all abilities; some need an extra push to avoid underperforming just when it matters most, while Brunel Urban Scholars stretches gifted students and encourages them to raise their game and take their education all the way.
